Gaven Rivera Retrospective

I love when someone asks me for all their kids photos! In this case four years of football photos. I just posted Gaven’s Freshman Football Package, but this post is his prior three years of football playing with the Yorba Linda Pop Warner Rattlers. Right off the bat Gaven stood out as one of the impact players on the team. I grew up playing baseball and basketball and for the most part was unfamiliar with youth football. I shot the boys six or seven times and loved the camaraderie the boys and their families shared. The boys played together for many years, and I was lucky to be a part of three of them. One of my good photographer friends grew up with football and joined me to shoot one of the games. He and I both snapped the same photo of Gaven being tackled and stretching for the end zone. We were on opposite sides of the field and I love them both, but still used mine for the collage! Gaven was one of a handful of core players that I came to expect big things from every time out.
