This is going to be great!
I have put this page together as a starting point for all the High School Booster Parents who heroically step up to the plate each season, willingly or not. It can be tough for me too as I rarely deal with the same person year to year. Just when we get comfortable together your kid graduates and you leave me! Ha. Then I have to start over.
Initial emails start something like, “We’d like to have you take our Team Photos, can you send me some information?” Simple enough but the truth is almost all of these jobs will have add-on projects… and I get more ideas all the time! Eventually I’d like to pepper this with sample photos but that will have to wait. I’m already in season mode as last week I shot 80 kids in Canyon’s Instrumental Performing Arts and have two volleyball jobs before school starts. I love doing it!
Photo Day is relatively simple. Just like Little League or soccer, I’ll send you a custom form that you’ll forward to your parents and they return it on Photo Day filled out with payment. Check, Cash, Venmo, or Zelle. I’d really appreciate if you can have a parent volunteer collect the forms and money on the day of the session. I am hoping to have the forms on Google Docs soon but that is still in the works. You tell me where you want to do it, I’ll arrive a little early and find a place to take the individual shots and a good spot for the group photo. Usually I bring a green screen and we shoot your seniors for banners. That is an additional cost, typically paid for by the Boosters. I’m not listing prices because I don’t want this page to be out-dated tomorrow, but I also discount stuff the more we do together. In a few weeks I’ll deliver a big box of enveloped photos for you to distribute.
Because I also do action photography (that’s always been my main thing) you can use me for other projects. I’ll have to explain these in more detail when I come back to this page with photos and revisions.
