2023 El Dorado Soccer LAUREN
Lauren! Here’s collage number three, it’s going fast! Hard to believe she’ll be a senior next year already. On my target list she’ll be replaced by brother Tommy soon. He should be a Freshman in a couple months. This year was a better run for El Dorado than last year but goals were still scarce. Outside of a couple games, the Hawks had to battle all season. Lauren did have a Hat Trick against Canyon, and I had my hat ready to throw but she didn’t see me because she was busy dancing at mid field. Ha. She deserves every goal she gets because she works hard to make things happen, but even she was surprised one of those went in. ;) A bigger goal came against Northwood in the CIF playoffs. Score was 0-0 until the final minutes when Lauren saw the goalie back peddling and she quickly fired a left footed roller that was perfect. As if in slow motion the goalie realized she had put herself in no man’s land as the ball rolled past her and into the far side of the net. A huge relief and win. Lauren celebrated with a bag of ice as her hand got stepped on moments later. She’s committed to Northern Arizona University for more soccer once high school is over. But we get one more year!
