2023 Canyon Soccer KAYVON

Here is Kayvon again, this time though back on the soccer pitch. Every time I shoot Canyon this kid scored a couple goals. Big goals. Often Canyon’s ONLY goals. I don’t know how other coaches prepare for Kayvon. If you tell your players to get in his face and frustrate him, get under his skin… I’ve seen that backfire as he ramps up the intensity, buries one and then runs the ball back to the circle so he can get another. He’s done that twice in the handful of games I’ve been to. I’ve also seen him get red-carded halfway through a game for similar. He’s tenacious and one of the more aggressive players I’ve shot, he wants the ball. Even on a throw in where he’s double teamed, he demands the ball because he’s that confident that he can make something happen, and he can. Fun to watch, going to miss shooting him next season.
