2023 El Dorado Soccer Photo Day W

Just like last year the Freshmen get the cover! Last year it was the wind and multiple sessions that made team photos tough, this year it was rain. We rescheduled this a couple of times, once because of predicted rain but this day seemed okay… for a while. Varsity and JV powered through despite the cold and the wind, but about halfway through the Freshman Team we got sprinkles and we accelerated through the next few girls while the rest took spots on the wet bench. We knew we’d have to hustle and the girls were great about it. I didn’t play much with the settings, lights on full and F/7.1 and adjusted from there. I sat and snapped off 5-6 varying the shutter speed a little each time. Gonna have to do! I love the lighting on these, too bad we couldn’t slow it down and work the posing more. The girls didn’t even use with a ball, right from the start they all knew the urgency to get it done. I have to mention I went in and cleaned up everyone to some extent. Rain water droplets, lots of hair across faces, etc. I did not attempt to fix the ‘goose flesh’! Truth is it was a very fun shoot and you can see it in the the smiles. I just wish the hair didn’t get so messy! Even though there was no rain or wind in my studio the day we shot the senior banners, I always stick those in here too.
