2022 Esperanza Basketball Photo Day (M)

Here’s a big one! Big for a couple of reasons. The obvious one is because there’s a lot of kids in here, fifty four! We shot the coaches too, so a big pile. I was there for three hours and we killed it. We took photos with the media guide in mind and went with their idea of a darkened gym for the solo shots. They turned out great, with a little more of a portrait feel. The other reason this is big, for me at least, is I finally shot a boy’s program at Esperanza. I’ve done volleyball and softball there for a few years. We’ll see if it translates to some season action packages, but for now I like the dent we made here. A fun note: The media guide cover was going to incorporate the above image, when Jacob saw it he didn’t want to be the only one smiling is I had to find another image where he was serious and cut that in. I suggested a quicker and funnier edit (below) but I was out voted! The photos and banners (extra large on these!) are delivered already and I’m looking forward to seeing them on display in the remodeled gym.
