2020 El Dorado Softball AUBRY

Here’s a special one. The only high school softball Individual Package of 2020! The last few years I’ve averaged about ten, but this time around coronavirus limited me to just one varsity game. Mom had asked me prior about doing something a little different than my normal collage style, and she really liked this heart shaped one I did for my son’s soccer coach. She knew that she wanted to include some volleyball that I had shot last year and wanted to try a canvas. I once did a canvas of three images but it was a burst of a single swing, so the background was essentially unchanged. I wasn’t sure if this many images would work on a canvas texture AND in a painted style, but she was gung ho. I love how it turned out. I’ve shot Aubry since the beginning of my photo '“career”. That’s her in yellow in 2010 pitching for the 8U Lightning, my first year shooting PYLGSA. Somewhere she’s also got a set of trading cards featuring her 12U Defiance All-Star team, personally favorite thing to make :) Aubry plans to attend Cypress College and continue playing softball, so we may still see more of her on the blog!
