2020 El Dorado Lacrosse Photo Day (M)

If you remember I shot these boys last year and it was eventful. This year we still did it at night, but I had a little more time to think it through and without the threat of rain. Since last year the program has expanded and there is now enough boys for both a JV and a Varsity squad. With more kids, new strobes, and a just purchased 24-70 lens, I was really looking forward to this one. I wanted to take advantage of the stadium in the individual shot and give it the look like the boys were just about to head out to the field. I made sure to throw a strobe over their shoulder to create some flares from the stadium lighting, and then hit them with a soft box at the same time. It was dark before each shot so my son Daniel used his iPhone to light each face for my focusing. I love the look.
