2020 The Nichols Family

“Gravy.” I eat breakfast every week with my wife and a couple of her friends, one of whom is her hairdresser. She once called my wife Gravy because as a client she’s easy. Although the work isn’t any easier, she knows how she likes her hair, they have good conversations, the price is right, there’s no need to explain any procedures, everything is right on. They both just enjoy the appointment. If I have a gravy family, it’s these guys right there. This is my fourth time shooting the family and I’ve done many projects for them but sometimes it’s not sports, it’s Photoshop work with their own photos. Great stuff. The kids are all busy so we had to squeeze this shoot in at about 2pm before cheerleading practice. Mom asked if we could do it at the Bradford House in Placentia, my first time there. The sun was harsh but I had Daniel with me so we lit up the family with flashes or a bounce screen and even flashed the House by itself to combat the sun. These ended up on Christmas cards, then mom asked if I could remove the garland from a few photos to print them large for their home. Yep, a great idea! Here’s a few favorites. B
