2018 Legends FC West B09

Here is my younger son’s year end wrap up and gallery. Team Manager Mandy had the idea to incorporate a heart because Coach’s motto is “Legends Play With Heart!” I was up for the challenge and that is my first shape collage. Not easy, a lot more planning than I’m used to. There’s a copy on everyone’s teammate CDs. Also if you’d like a collage like Ashton’s below, send me a note and I’ll send you a quote. It is hard to believe only a year has passed since Archie joined Legends. I feel like we’ve always worn the yellow! I remember tryouts last January and Coach Adam said they play a lot of games, he wasn’t lying. We do spring games, indoor games, beach games, night games, outdoor arena games, and plenty of tournament games. There’s a conscious effort to make sure these nine year old boys are having fun and that’s important. It’s still serious soccer and there are moments of tough lessons, but the overall vibe is about loving to play soccer. I’m not sure where we finished in league, officially that’s not posted at this age. We won some, blew other teams out, and got blown out too. Going forward we will need to find us a couple more kids who relish playing defense. It’s not a glamorous position to a ten year old, but I’ll bet Coach Adam can make it feel that way.
