2018 Dancemaker Behind the Curtain

I was out for an Individual Shoot of Megan, but ended up shooting a lot more than I had planned. This was a "photo performance" which is a serious dress rehearsal just for cameras. The show was being professionally recorded from multiple angles. There were a few others there shooting, but most of those were video. I started out following just Megan, but sometimes she'd dance to the back or into the shadows so I clicked whoever was smiling in her old spot! I was hesitant to shoot others at first because sorting and editing is a lot of work, and this was a three hour gig. I didn't want to a ton of extra work for myself but as I usually do, I ended up cutting loose. The younger kid's parents are probably most likely to buy photos, and I didn't shoot them much. Just goes to show you I wasn't thinking about it from that angle. Since it was a virtually empty theater I was self conscious of the camera noise for a while.
