2018 Ryan & Tera Velarde

Booya! Allow me a little self indulgence here. Here's my nephew Ryan marrying his love Tera yesterday. There was hired photographers there but of course I took my camera. I mean how many pictures of MY kids would they take anyhow? Right, not enough! Archie was in the wedding as Ring Bearer and Daniel played cello during the ceremony accompanied by his friend Yehee on piano. They were all fantastic, and Daniel may pursue weddings as a money maker after the experience. Emily was on the dance floor all night rolling over to anyone who would dance with her, and I think just about everyone did. Christy and I just soaked it up, she with her wine and me with my camera. I figured I'd experiment a little and went with my inconspicuous 85mm/1.8 lens and shot without a flash all night. Careful to let the real photographers do their job. For all the work that goes into weddings, at some point the stress lifts and you realize there's nowhere else in the world you'd rather be at that moment and you get a little life buzz. It was awesome. Then Christy spilled her wine. Ha. Dancing with Archie and Emily at the same time will cause that!
