2017 Canyon FC G03 Smith

I lucked out at this one. I've shot this team a couple of times over the years. Here's a few older gallery links: 2012, 2013, 2014. There's been some player movement since I first shot them at U9, but like most Canyon teams there's a solid core of players that have stayed. This was the last regular season game and a win would mean a Division Championship. El Rancho at 8am on the lower field is a tough field to shoot. The big bank of trees casts a shadow on a third of the field length wise. It can make for some cool dramatic type photos if part of the action is in the sun, but mostly it's just a pain in the butt and most shots are wasted. The girls won and the parents covered them in silly string. Coach Marc got sprayed with the leftovers which was alright because when the girls turned for Coach Joe all they had left was their cold water bottles.
