2016 Valencia Varsity Soccer (W)
Spur of the moment on this one. I was headed to pick up my daughter from school and realized that Varsity was playing a rare 3PM home game. Even though there were gray skies overhead, I much prefer daylight to stadium lights. I turned around and grabbed my 70-200, a snack and blanket for Emily and we rolled over. My neighbor Riley is on the team and despite living next door, schedules just don't align for me to watch her play that often. I was going to concentrate on just her because of the weather and the shorter lens, but she was subbed out early. I wasn't happy with my brief time, so we stuck it out. Riley started the second half and played most of it. She also set up Valencia's first goal on a beautiful left footed cross, then follwed that up with the game winner - a gorgeous header that she steered into the ground. No goalie was going to get that, textbook. I ended up shooting the near action, so there's some other girls too. Neighbor pricing on these. The 2016 Valencia Women's Varsity Soccer Gallery (CLICK). B
