2015 The Mottram Family

Here's a great set! I always enjoy getting to know my sporty families away from the field. I have shot Ellie for years on the softball diamond, but this shoot was focused on her graduating high school brothers Ben & Joe. With the gowns on loan and Grandma and Grandpa flown in for the celebration, our window of opportunity wasn't big. It was a beautiful day here in Yorba Linda, and the drive down to about El Toro was great. As we pulled into San Clemente there was no sun. My buddy and I had shot a wedding earlier in the day and we brought along his lighting set up. The photos are fantastic, very dramatic with the overcast skies and spot lighting. I like to keep my groups small, but these guys were about as easy to work with as anyone ever. All seven had eyes open and killer smiles in just about every frame. Easy. Too easy in fact, and I ended up with just over 100 keepers, including plenty of Photoshopped Specials. Here's the Mottrams Gallery (CLICK). B
